Dutchman

Please join us for a special performance of Amiri Baraka's DUTCHMAN, directed by Rashid Johnson and co-produced by Performa. DUTCHMAN originally premiered at The Cherry Lane Theatre in 1964. For one night only, Johnson brings back this piece to its original home as a tribute to the playwright that inspired his work. This performance is in concert with A POEM FOR DEEP THINKERS, Johnson's retrospective at the Guggenheim whose title is taken from one of Baraka's poems.

The role of Lula will be played by Tori Ernst, and the role of Clay will be played by Jerod Haynes. Directed by Rashid Johnson.
