We are New York’s oldest, continuously running Off-Broadway theater, and have served the New York cultural community for eighty years. We are a non-profit organization, and it is our goal to be a vital lab for the development of new American works and to cultivate a diverse, multigenerational audience. What kinds of works do you present?
On our Mainstage, the Discovery Series gives new plays premiere Off-Broadway productions; the Heritage Series presents Off-Broadway revivals of gems from Cherry Lane’s extensive canon. Our Studio programs include our Mentor Project, the Tongues reading series [link], the Celebrating Women Playwrights program [link], the Celebrating Black Playwrights program [link] and our Master Classes.
May I rent the Cherry Lane?
Yes! We have two newly renovated, first-class performance spaces: the 179-seat Mainstage and the 60-seat Studio.
Is the Cherry Lane accessible to persons with disabilities?

There is only water at the theatre, but there are places right around the corner for snacks and drinks.

We are located in the heart of Greenwich Village and there are dozens of place to eat and drink within walking distance of the theatre.
Where can I park my car?
